The company Retela, as one of the first collective schemes, celebrated the important anniversary on 11 May 2025 – 20 years of its existence. During this period Retela has become a key player in the collection and recycling of WEEE, including solar panels. The main goal of the company is to protect the environment and the human health and also the usage of the materials contained in the obsolete electric and electronic devices.
Retela was founded in 2005 by Electrotechnical association of the Czech Republic (ElA).
From its foundation Retela ensures the fulfilment of the obligations according to the legislation in the field of collection, treatment, material utilization and disposal of the hazardous substances from the E-waste on behalf of its clients. Retela is managed by Ing. Jaroslav Vladík as a CEO from the very beginning until nowadays.
“Withing the last twenty years we have been able to build a stable, environmentally responsible collective scheme with a strong position on the market. I am persuaded that our activities have a positive impact, mainly in saving natural resources thanks to ecological recycling. We have helped thousands of clients to fulfil their duties and we contribute to the development of sustainable business. As a part of its social responsibility, Retela supports the Remobil, Recyklohraní and Opravárna projects”, says Jaroslav Vladík.
Besides the take-back of the standard groups of EEE, Retela has become an important specialist in the collection and recycling of the solar panels including their accessories. Retela is currently the leader in this field, therefore its role will be even more important in the following years.
